All about Flamina Hemp Tea with Ginger and Turmeric

The spiciest of the collection. Flamina is a Heimat hemp tea that pairs Swiss indoor-grown hemp with ginger, turmeric, nettle and lapacho. The plants are gently dried, with no artificial flavourings, colourings or fillers, then blended at Heimat’s manufactory on Lake Constance. Hemp and spice come together in proportions chosen so that neither drowns out the other. If you like infusions with real character, this is the one to start with. 🔥

To keep the spices from masking the hemp, everything comes down to the blend. The hemp, from Swiss agriculture and grown indoors, is picked by hand and dried slowly before it joins the ginger, turmeric, nettle and lapacho. Every batch is then tasted by a panel, checked for moisture and inspected for cut at Heimat’s manufactory. The tea is packed in plastic-free, biodegradable corn-starch pyramid bags that give the roots and leaves room to release their aromas. No artificial colouring is needed: the golden hue comes from the turmeric itself.

As soon as it steeps, the turmeric turns the cup golden and the ginger brings a peppery note you notice straight away. Nettle and lapacho add herbal, earthy depth, while the hemp gives the whole blend its structure. Heimat describes a spicy, pronounced infusion, with an intense but well-judged scent and colour and a nicely balanced depth on the palate. This hemp infusion is a natural pick on cooler days, when you want a cup where the spices really come through.

At uWeed, we kept Flamina for spice lovers: of the six Heimat varieties, it is the only one built around the pairing of ginger and turmeric, for a more intense profile than the floral blends. Brew it once and you will know whether spicy infusions are your thing. The 15 pyramid bags of 1.33 g are made from biodegradable corn starch and packed in a carton box. The blend is vegan, sugar-free, additive-free, gluten-free and caffeine-free, and no herbicides or pesticides are used in cultivation. Let it steep for 7 to 10 minutes, and add this Heimat hemp tea to your order at uWeed’s shop. 🍵

  1. Heat fresh water to 90–95 °C.
  2. Place one 1.33 g bag in a cup of around 250 ml, warmed beforehand if you like.
  3. Pour the hot water over the bag and cover the cup.
  4. Steep for 7–10 minutes, then lift the bag out without squeezing it.
  5. Drink it plain or, if you like, add a little milk and a touch of honey or sugar.
