The uWeed CBD Shop report: Are there any CBD Side Effects or CBD Oil Side Effects? Cannabidiol, better known as CBD, is one of over a 100 different types of cannabinoids discovered to date. CBD oil is typically registered and marketed as a nutritional and/or health supplement. It is showing up in every form of CBD products from cookies and chocolates, to smoothies and designer waters, as well as CBD Oil. The Food and Drug Administration in the US has also approved the first CBD drug to treat rare forms of epilepsy in children after successful clinical trials.

Considered safe and non-toxic, CBD side effects or CBD OIl side effects can exist and it’s helpful to know what to do
CBD has very few if any side-effects

Cannabidiol cannot be compared to THC and has very few side effects

CBD has basically no recreational properties. This is unlike its psychedelic cousin from the cannabis plant tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Cannabidiol is often touted as a type of wonder drug. A drug that helps relieve a myriad of ailments and conditions. Mentioned are chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, and many more.  It achieves this through its interaction with the body’s endocannabinoid system. Scientific research is showing that controlled CBD administration is both effective and safe. The reported CBD Oil side effects are almost non-existent when compared to many pharmaceutical treatments. That is why many people are turning to CBD oil for symptom relief. But is this really the case?  Are there really no CBD Oil side effects? If there are CBD side effects, what are they?  Does Cannabidiol work differently or are high levels of CBD content more dangerous?

Below, uWeed explains how safe cannabidiol really is and what potential CBD side effects there might be.

Is Cannabidiol Really Safe? Are there Side Effects

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently released a report stating that: “To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD”. The same report also stated that there is no evidence currently available showing that cannabis oil is either physically or psychologically addictive, making it an excellent long-term treatment option for many people.

This report is largely based on emerging evidence from several studies showing that CBD is non-toxic and non-psychoactive. Furthermore, it is well tolerated by most patients. This is the case, even with chronic use at high dosages of up to 1,500 mg/day. In addition, they also found that there is no evidence showing that CBD has any effect on psychomotor or psychological function. Nor does it cause changes in, or affect any other physiological parameters. Heart rate, blood pressure or body temperature are not negatively affected at controlled dosages.

This is also true in comparison with other drugs often used for the treatment of many serious medical conditions. Those include medical marijuana, but, the CBD side effects profile is much better. This of course helps to improve patients compliance and adherence to treatment.

However, some reports also mention certain contraindications and CBD Oil side effects experienced by a very small percentage of users. However, everyone should seek medical advice before starting the regular intake of Cannabidiol to avoid or limit potential side effects.

The Serious CBD Oil Side Effects

Lower Blood Pressure

Hemp oil/Cannabidiol can act as a blood thinner by raising the blood thinning compound called coumadin in the body. For people who are already suffering from low blood pressure, medical advise should be obtained. Also for people with certain blood diseases or bleeding disorders such as haemophilia or “von Willebrand disease”, the use of Cannabidiol can be risky. Those people should certainly contact their GP prior to using CBD products.

Interactions with Medication

Cannabidiol can also interact with certain medications. It does this, by inhibiting drug metabolism in the liver in a similar way in which grapefruit juice does. A good rule of thumb is to always consult your doctor before using CBD with other medications. Especially if your pharmacist contraindicated the ingestion of fruit juice, citrus or fermented products.

Worsening Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease

Emerging research into CBD for movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease is showing great promise. CBD as potentially treating and/or preventing the debilitating symptoms. Those symptoms are linked to oxidative stress and neurodegeneration associated with these conditions. However, some early research suggests that taking very high doses of cannabidiol might make muscle movement and tremors worse for some patients.

Cannabidiol Mild Side Effects

Nausea and Loss of Appetite

CBD Oil side effects for some people can include gastrointestinal issues. This can sometimes lead to a nausea and a loss of appetite that some people may experience. In some individuals this is purely due to Cannabidiol not being tolerated well. For others, it might indicate that there is another ingredient in their CBD oil that they are sensitive to. Try to either reduce the CBD dosage or purchase a purer product with fewer ingredients.

Dry Mouth

Cannabinoid receptors are spread throughout the body, including the mouth and salivary glands. CBD interacts with these receptors, sometimes causing a dry mouth feel by inhibiting the secretion of saliva. Although this can be unpleasant, this CBD side effect is easily rectified by drinking a glass of juice or water.
